A very pleasing experience

Having been burnt  horribly by another so called expert off the OSC forum I was reluctant to try another, but I really had no choice as I needed to move on securing my site for my customers asap and I did not have the time to do so.

HUGE difference on performance and reliability

We recently decided to move from our shared host to a Virtual Private Server because of poor website performance at www.coollights.biz, which is our primary and most important sales outlet for the cutting edge film and television lighting products we manufacture, sell and support.

We run the popular osCommerce as our base web store and site, so we needed someone that could not only program osCommerce but also handle the Linux setup issues you encounter on a VPS or dedicated server platform.

We talked to Nick of ActiveEbiz and he had many ideas for optimizing the site after we moved because there were still issues that would not be fixed even with just running on a faster platform.

First phase, he completed the transition to the faster host with all the various Linux setup and optimization issues. That was already a major improvement.

Next, he tackled the website optimizations which made a HUGE difference on the performance and reliability of our site.

Things like caching pages, thumbnails optimizations, SQL query optimizations, advanced product category menu and tabbed product pages to separate out all the various specs, information and pictures of our products. Quite a face lift for our main marketing connection to the world.

We plan on many other changes in the future and Nick and ActiveEBiz will be a part of that evolution. Thanks to Nick for a painless transition.
